Pushin’ P

So the topic I want to touch on is positivity vs negativity, and how we need to do better with pushing “P” for positivity. There is so much that goes on around us and it brings cloudiness. The moment you turn on the news there is something that is gut wrenching that comes on. And then if there is something that is a bit of light for us, it only has a few minutes of being shown then it goes right back to being a dystopian world. Between politics and the wars that are going on overseas, we really need platforms that only adheres to the good that goes unseen.

I can assume that if there were more positive outlets that encourage positivity as opposed to platforms glorifying negativity, there could be a better movement behind it. There is not enough coverage that highlights the better things in life, and the ones that do, it is a very small percentage. It’s safe to say that the world is only interested in things that are not healthy for the mind because it’s easier to keep up with because everyone is talking about it. And for some reason it keeps their minds fed.

Gossip seems to be the wave, but can we PLEASE have some talk about black innovators, entrepreneurs, activists, artists, etc that are out here building businesses and a plethora of other things that are adding to the health and benefit of our people. They are the ones that need stepping stones to get to higher places. And we need to remember that nobody is going to do anything for us, but us.

We once had Black Wall Street, a community of wealth and success, and the news of it was able to spread because the people’s mindset were focused on fixing a population of people that were broken in so many aspects of life. They were focused, and now it seems as if most are not. Although it was destroyed, it still held weight years after its existence. As a population of a split nation, sometimes we need to look back on the past to remember how those before us lived, and how they were able to pave paths to be followed that could lead us in the right direction. And just like back then, some got left behind because they were afraid to make a change.

But to the percentage that are focused in this day and age and followed those steps… a BIG SALUTE to you. The more that you keep your focus, the better the chances that you could influence someone to be on the same wave as you even if it’s one or two people. We need to stop leaving people behind if we have the tools to go forward. However, you CANNOT make everyone be a builder if they are only shackers.
