Ságe Lishah, R&B artist of H.I.R.E, and Maryland native, is creating music that keeps the movement of relatable sounds in the works. Creating music of such is something that keeps the world in a chokehold because as people, you never know who goes through the same thing as you. Singing about love, and finding it, is what some people desire in a world like this, and she makes sure she gives it to you.

As an artist, she has been writing music since she was 8 years old. She also has made her way into producing as well as playing different instruments from percussion, strings, and brass. Because of her versatility, she is able to understand the importance of being free with her creativity and striving to incorporate different elements to set her apart from everyone else.

When asked about the evolution of R&B, she mentioned that today’s music has become more mainstream as opposed to it being more poetic as it was back then. When people listen to her music, she hopes that listeners are able to feel what she is saying. Not just from the ears perspective, but from a soulful level where connection is involved so that they get where she is coming from. Which is why when she creates her music, she has to be the first to feel it before she is able to let everything flow as it should.

The first step is the music, being able to get the vibe for the tune. Then she attaches a memory, or a feeling to it so that there is a solid foundation to build on in order for the message and emotion behind it to structure itself into a masterpiece. For music to be impactful, the artist must be able to plug into it before that cord of connectivity is able to be plugged into the audience.

Going forward with her career she wants to collaborate with more artists on a wider spectrum who are in different genres. The more people Lishah is able to connect with, the more she climbs up to reach her goal of touching as many hearts as possible, as well as uniting others through music.

Further into the conversation, Ságe was asked what she hopes that people are able to get out of her music. She answers “I just hope that they feel seen. They’re not alone, you’re not the only person going through this. You’re not the only person to feel how you ever felt. You’re not crazy… When you listen to this, I get you.”

She’s building her plethora of relatable songs as the year plays out to get ready for the beginning of 2025. She has seven of them in the works and is working on dropping two of them. With the new year around the corner, the world could be getting an album of music that is heartwarming to the soul.

Check her out on all platforms @sagelishah and take a look at our interview. You know we got you!
